Workshop sponsored by the Alameda County Apprenticeship Collaborative (ACAC) will feature career opportunities for student participants. ACAC promotes youth development and skill acquisition, producing interested and qualified applicants for apprenticeship programs with an emphasis on construction careers both in the trades and professional areas. Conference participants will walk away with the knowledge of career opportunities in the building trades that will provide excellent financial rewards!

Workshop offering student attendees real life experiences as told by successful business people:

  • Insights into their career choice
  • How to climb the corporate ladder

  • How the Hispanic community can make you more successful

These workshops will be done in a panel presentation with a moderator to keep the discussions flowing and interesting. Panelist can be drawn from program sponsors, chamber business members, etc.

The EAP provides high school students an "early signal" of their readiness for college level math and English. Find out if you need to take additional courses during your senior year or if you are ready to enroll in college level math and English courses. Educational Opportunity Programs (EOP)

This workshop will cover the EOP admissions, financial assistance, and support services offered by the California State University System (CSU). Of particular interest will be a demonstration of the online EOP application materials, the Summer Bridge programs for entering freshmen, and transfer services available to community college transfer students. Attendees will receive a handout that describes EOP programs at each CSU campus. (English)
